Adairs

Adairs began trading in Chapel Street, Prahran in Melbourne in 1918 and later became established as a mini department store stocking all drapery lines until 1980. The first of today's chains was opened at Doncaster Shoppingtown in 1981 with four more stores being added in 1984.

Adairs is now the largest national specialty manchester retailer with more than 60 stores across all mainland states and the Northern Territory. It is a family run company with input from senior management. Adairs retails a wide range of manchester items including fashionable and commodity merchandise.
